In the beginning ... This month, at Simchat Torah , we begin the Torah reading cycle all over again, with Bereshit. In Shabbat morning Torah study we'll continue our study at the beginning. These lay-lead sessions meet every Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the Temple library. Come join any session for interesting discussion, learning, and a little nosh! Evolving out of Saturday morning Torah study, the Saturday Morning Learner's Minyan follows Torah study once per month, for approximately one hour, beginning at 10:30 a.m. We begin with a short meditation, followed by shachrit (morning) service, lead by Lise Rosenthal. Each session includes a focus and teaching on one aspect of the service. We are using a draft of the new siddur being developed by the URJ, Mishkan T'filah. All are welcome to participate. Sessions are scheduled for Oct. 30th and November 20th.
Aleph Isn’t Tough! Basic Hebrew class Jewish Ethics discussion group will be held on Wednesdays, in the Social
Hall, for one hour beginning November 17 at 7:30 p.m. Led by Jay Trachman.
